About Me

My name is Chris Boyd and I will be receiving my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering this coming Spring (2023), with plans to pursue a PhD in Fall 2023. One of my biggest inspirations is my grandfather, Colonel John R. Boyd, who was a collaborator on the F-15 and F-16 fighter jets, and it was he who inspired me to become an engineer. My work experience entails extensive project-based design work, as well as ample research in nano-optics and photonics. I aim to pursue a career in nanotechnology and utilize my skills to work on our society’s most difficult environmental problems. This website is a culmination of my technical experience, design work, as well as other skill sets I have showcased in a variety of projects.
